Information On Biofuel

AWR has Biofuel for sale. This material is NOT biodiesel. However, with the proper equipment, it can be chemically converted to biodiesel through a process called acid esterification. AWR's Biofuel is renewable since it is derived 100% from animal fats and vegetable oil sources, not fossil fuels. For more information, please see the following flyer which includes analytical data on MIU, sulfur content, percent ash, and energy content:

Information on Grease as Boiler Fuel

There may be various state and/or federal incentives for your company to use renewable fuels.

AWR Biofuel's Closed Carbon Cycle Advantage:
Burning AWR Biofuel results in a net zero carbon dioxide emission since the emitted carbon dioxide does not originate from fossil fuels. The carbon dioxide emitted by combustion of AWR's Biofuel is simply offset by an equivalent drop in atmospheric carbon dioxide during synthesis of presently growing vegetable oil crops and/or livestock fats.

By comparison, even biodiesel is not 100% renewable since the methanol used to make it is derived from fossil fuel sourced natural gas. …and so-called “clean-burning” compressed natural gas (CNG) is most commonly derived from fossil fuel sources.
